Who We Are
We are a family who have benefitted from organ donation and it's time for us to raise awareness and give back. Our goal is to share our story to educate people about the benefit and reality of organ donation.
Simply, we hope that we can help to save lives.
Since its inception in 2009, The JHHF has been able to award grants to families of children waiting for heart transplants. This financial assistance goes towards helping the families pay for parking, food, hotels, entertainment and other needs while waiting in the hospital. This is only possible because of thoughtful contributions from our generous donors.
What We Hope
Our mission is to make this terrifying diagnosis more bearable for the families involved. We hope to not only provide financial assistance, but also inspiration and hope. Despite many ups and downs, these three heart transplant survivors are examples that with ongoing care, organ donation not only saves lives, but can provide a very good quality of life for the recipient.
How We Help
The emotional burden of any chronic illness is a lot to bear.
If we can assist families with their financial burden brought on by these unfortunate medical circumstances, they can focus all of their energy and effort towards their child's health and well being.
Together, these fundraising efforts can lead to more organ donations, heart transplants and ultimately, save more lives.
